The 5-minute morning that rewires pain.
Five movements, every morning, before the brain has a chance to brace.
The first ninety seconds after you open your eyes are the most plastic ninety seconds of your day. Your nervous system is still calibrating, still deciding what kind of body it lives in today.
If the first signal it gets is "ow," that becomes the day’s baseline. If the first signal it gets is gentle, predictable, and safe, the baseline shifts.
The five movements
- Pelvic tilts in bed. 30 seconds. Just rocking. Almost imperceptible.
- Knee hugs, one at a time. Breath in on the way up, breath out on the way down.
- Cat-cow on hands and knees. Six rounds, breath-paced.
- Standing roll-down. From the head, vertebra by vertebra. Hang for two breaths.
- A ten-second standing exhale. Long. Slow. Out through pursed lips.
Five minutes. Five movements. Done before the day has a chance to recruit the old patterns. You are not exercising. You are casting a vote, every morning, for a different default state.
