Inside Pain Academy

The app where
the program comes together.

An auto-built week that schedules itself. A notebook that captures every session. An AI tutor trained on Vinny. A movement library you can shape. A wall of wins from real members. All in one place, already coordinated for you.

01The home screen

Open the app, and
the day is laid out.

No spreadsheet, no figuring out what comes next. The week you see at the top of the home screen is auto-built from the programs you've unlocked. Today's activities sit at the top as colored circles, one per layer, so you can see Monday at a glance and know exactly what's on it.

Today's activities, ready to start
A scrollable list of every routine, meditation, and lesson scheduled for today. Tap one and you're in the player, no menu hunting, no decision fatigue.
A side-scroll calendar at the top
One column per day, with colored circles for the activities scheduled that day. Tap any day to see what's coming. The dots use the same practice colors you've already learned.
Auto-built, never frozen
The schedule isn't a one-time spreadsheet. As you add programs, change cadences, or take a break, the dots reflow. The app holds the layering complexity so you don't have to.
02The schedule

Three layers,
woven into one week.

Movement isn't one thing, it stacks. The app figures out which layer runs on which day, with a cadence that suits each layer's role. Open the schedule sheet and you can adjust any layer by hand, but the defaults are usually the answer.

01Relief

Calm the area down.

The eight starting programs by body area. Where you begin. The pain dies down enough that the next layer becomes possible.

Default cadence
Daily, every single day
Daily because the nervous system needs daily reps to learn safety in the painful area. Skipping days means starting the calming over.
02Strength

Stabilize what was painful.

Core and posture work that locks in the relief. The stabilizers your painful area had been outsourcing.

Default cadence
Twice a week, usually Mon & Thu
Twice a week because muscle adapts on a 48–72 hour cycle. More often becomes counterproductive; less often and the gains slip.
03Mobility

Expand the range.

The positions and movements your body had stopped trusting. Resilience, a body that can be loaded in more ways without complaint.

Default cadence
Every other day
Every other day because mobility responds to rhythm. Daily can flare a sensitised system; rest days let the new range settle in before you ask for more.
Meditation underneath all of it. Daily.
The fourth layer that doesn’t change cadence. A short guided session opens every day, settling the alarm system so the movement layers above land instead of flare. It isn’t optional. It’s the floor everything else stands on.
03The routine

Tap Start, and you’re in
a playlist for today’s body.

Each routine is a curated playlist of movements, usually five to seven, in a specific order, timed and cued by Vinny’s voice. Before you press Start you see what’s coming, what equipment you need, and your full history with this exact routine: every time you’ve done it, every note you wrote, how each one felt.

Your history with this routine

Five times in,
you can see it adding up.

Every time you finish this exact routine it gets pinned to the routine’s own log. You see the trajectory at a glance, feel rating, the note you wrote, how today compares to two weeks ago.

04The notebook

Every routine, captured.
The work stops evaporating.

Every session you finish gets logged automatically. Drop in a quick note about how it landed, mark how the body felt, and over the weeks a real picture starts to form, which routines your hip actually likes, which days you tend to skip, which variation finally cracked the pattern.

Finish a routine and the entry shows up, date, routine name, duration, the day inside the round. You didn't have to remember to journal.
A note + a feeling, in five seconds
A quick five-dot scale for how the body felt, and a single text field for whatever's worth remembering. Specific is better than long.
Patterns the eye can't catch
Over weeks, the notebook surfaces the routines that consistently land and the ones that consistently flare, so the program can adjust around you.

05Soma · the AI tutor

Stuck on something?
Ask Soma.

Soma is the in-app AI tutor trained on Vinny's teaching, every workshop, every lesson, every protocol. It answers the questions you'd want to ask between sessions, in plain English, with the same framing as the rest of the program. It's not a chatbot. It's the closest thing to having Vinny's voice in your pocket at 11pm when something flares.

Soma11:42pm
My lower back is flaring after today’s session. Did I do too much?
Probably not, a flare after a session almost always reads as the nervous system being noisy, not as tissue damage. Vinny calls this the “alarm response.”

Two things to try right now: a 7-minute Settle meditation, then ten slow Cat-Cows. Skip the rest of tomorrow’s movement layer if it’s still loud in the morning. Want me to queue that for you?

Trained on the program

Vinny’s voice,
in your pocket.

  • Explains your flare in the same language Vinny uses in the workshops, so what Soma says lines up with what you've been learning.
  • Recommends specific routines, meditations, or workshop clips from the actual library, not generic advice.
  • Knows your history. Soma sees what you finished today, what's flaring, what you've already swapped, and answers in that context.
  • On your timeline. 11pm question, 6am question, 30 seconds before a session. Soma's there.
06The movement library

Every routine. Every variation.
Every angle.

350+ filmed movements live in the library, the standard versions Vinny teaches, plus chair, floor, hand-friendly, and harder variations of nearly every one. The killer feature: tap any movement inside any routine and swap it for an alternate that fits your body today. The plan moves with you, not the other way around.

  • Hand hurts today? Floor isn't happening? You've outgrown a variation? Swap it in two taps.
  • Routines stay coherent: the alternate slots straight into the round, no need to re-time or re-cue anything.

07The Win Wall

A wall of wins
from real members.

Inside the program there's a shared wall where members post the moment something shifts. A flare-up that didn't come. The first morning they didn't reach for the wall. The chair version they finally graduated out of. Read them. Post your own. Celebrate someone else's.
