The Better Hip Workshop
A free online workshop for people whose hip feels tight, weak, painful, or unsafe — even after stretching, strengthening, or treatment.
If your hip feels tight no matter how much you stretch, weak no matter how much you strengthen, or unpredictable no matter how careful you are, this workshop will help you understand why the cycle may keep repeating — and how to begin working with your hip in a calmer way.

Your hip pain may not be just a “hip problem.”
Most hip pain advice focuses on structure:
And of course, your body matters. But when pain lasts for months or years, changes from day to day, flares unexpectedly, moves around, or does not respond the way you hoped, there may be more going on than tight muscles or weak glutes.
Your nervous system may be playing a bigger role than you’ve been told.
That does not mean your pain is fake. It means your body may be stuck in a cycle of pain, fear, guarding, and sensitivity — and that cycle can begin to change.
That’s what this free workshop is about.
In this free workshop, you’ll learn.
A gentle movement practice to help you reconnect with your hip in a calmer way.
Why chronic hip pain is not always just a problem with the hip itself.
How arthritis, labral tears, impingement, posture, strength, and mobility fit into the bigger picture.
Why pain can continue even when there is no clear sign of ongoing tissue damage.
How fear, guarding, and nervous system sensitivity can keep your hip feeling tight, weak, or unsafe.
How to begin working with your hip without forcing, testing, or chasing the perfect stretch.
If any of these sound like you.
You have chronic hip pain, tightness, stiffness, or weakness.
You’ve been given explanations for your hip pain, but none have fully helped.
You’ve tried stretching, strengthening, therapy, injections, massage, or adjustments without lasting relief.
You feel unsure what to do day to day.
You want to move with more trust and less fear.
This is not a high-pressure challenge.
No pushing through pain.
No “prove your body is broken” testing.
No pressure to feel a dramatic result by the end.
This is a calm, educational workshop to help you understand your hip differently, reduce fear around movement, and begin rebuilding trust in your body without forcing it to prove it is okay.
What to expect.
You’ll be guided through a clear teaching session, a calmer way to understand chronic hip pain, and a gentle movement practice you can use to begin reconnecting with your hip.
The goal is not to push harder.
The goal is to understand what your body may be protecting against — and how to start working with it instead of against it.
The workshop will be about 90 minutes and will include:
Education to help you understand chronic hip pain through the body, movement, and nervous system.
Simple movement check-ins and assessments.
Gentle hip-focused movement practice.
Post-movement reflection, live Q&A, and next steps.
What you’ll need.
For the movement portion, we’ll be getting down on the ground to do the exercises.
Please plan to have:
- A comfortable place to lay down.
- A little room around you to move.
- A yoga block, if you have one.
- A simple couch pillow or bed pillow if you don’t have a yoga block.
- A chair nearby, just in case you want extra support.
You don’t need anything fancy. Just make sure you have enough space to get on the ground comfortably and move at your own pace.

Vinny Crispino is the founder of Pain Academy, a former Division I athlete, and an eight-time All-American whose work with chronic pain began after a life-changing surfing accident left him with a broken back.
After years of treatments that did not give him the answers he needed, Vinny began searching for a different way to understand pain, movement, and the body. That path led him to become a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Posture Alignment Specialist, and certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
Today, Vinny has helped more than 15,000 people learn how to work with their bodies in a calmer, nervous-system-informed way — without forcing, pushing, or ignoring pain.
His approach combines physical tools that address the body with nervous system tools that help change the experience of pain, fear, guarding, and movement.
This workshop is designed to give you a clearer way to understand your hip and a safer place to begin.
